"7 Billion Minds" was written when I was in one of those soul-searching moments in my life. At first I intended to end the chorus with "I'll wait right here," because I felt it was hopeless to do anything to change the perception of people (since there are so many).
I might as well wait and see what happens and follow orders.
Then, someone told me about Somaly Mam and her efforts to stop human trafficking. That is when I revisited the song and decided to change it to "I'll start right here."
The most powerful tool to influence someone is by doing.
